Happy Birthday Clara!!!

In February our little Clara turned ONE! Whew! Where did that first year go? We celebrated Clara’s birthday twice this year. The first one was at home, just the four of us. Isabel picked out the birthday cake. We all had our own little heart cakes. Here is Clara’s:

Clara waited patiently while we sang to her.

She didn’t know what to do about the candle, so of course Isabel took care of that.

Clara loved having her own little cake!

First she just put her fingers in the frosting.

Then she decided to take control!

Then she had to make sure there wasn’t anything inside that she missed.

The night ended with her favorite activity, a BATH!!!

The following week we were in Utah so we celebrated Clara’s birthday again with some of our family. Grandma Arvi made an awesome bathtub cake equipped with a rubber ducky.

Once again Clara did not know what to do about the lit candle. She’s looking to Daddy for guidance.

So Isabel, Sydnee, and I took over and blew out the candle.

Now she knows what to do!

We all love Clara so much! She keeps us on our toes. Clara started walking when she was 10 months old. She loves to get into everything. She loves animals, especially our two cats. She loves playing with her big sister. Clara has brought so much joy into our lives!
