Well, we have finally achieved the first best day of a boat owner's life! Knowing how badly Shad has always wanted a boat, I'm fairly certain we won't experience the second best day of a boat owner's life.
We took it out for the first time last Saturday. By the time we got out it was overcast and windy, but we still had a good time. Sydnee and Isaac had been staying with us and they couldn't wait to go out, neither could Isabel and Clara. Our voyage had a couple of memorable moments, too embarrassing to bring up here (yes they involve me-- some "firsts" for me, that's all we'll say). The water was cold! Shad was brave and tried skiing in the cold, choppy water. The kids had fun, despite them saying, "Don't go too fast!" and "It's too bumpy!"
Isaac was content as long as he could sit here and hold on to that rod :)
