The week after Thanksgiving we took the girls on a vacation to Disneyland and SeaWorld. We spent three days at Disneyland and one day at SeaWorld. We had so much fun!!! We stayed in one of our WorldMark condos just a few blocks from Disneyland. It was great to be able to walk over to the park. It was a perfect time of year to go. The weather was nice and sunny, not too hot or too cold; and the best part—there were hardly any lines!
“C” for Clara

“I” for Isabel
We spent our first day at California Adventure. This was a new experience for all of us; previously we had only been to Disneyland. Isabel and Clara were filled with excitement from the very beginning. Clara was a little nervous to go on the rides at first, but once she did it just wanted to go “more!”
The longest line we waited in was for the “Toy Story Mania”. It really was one of the best rides there. We got to wear cool 3-D glasses!
Mr. Potato Head entertained us while we were in line. Clara was fascinated with him. She just loved watching. She would get so excited as he spoke. She was so fascinated with him that we couldn't get a good picture with her and Mr. P. After that anytime we saw any sort of Potato Head merchandise she would go crazy.
We told Isabel she could pick one souvenir. Well she decided on the souvenir that keeps on giving :) she wanted to take up pin trading. She picked out a Tinker Bell lanyard that came with some pins on it and decided she was going to try to get as many fairy pins as she could. She ended up with quite a few too. It ended up being really fun. Of course we got her a couple other pins to add to her memorabilia.

We spent our second day at Disneyland Park. It was so fun to see everything decorated for Christmas. We loved the giant Christmas tree you see right when you enter the Park. We look so little standing there, don’t we?
Isabel got to meet Tinker Bell and some of the other fairies at Pixie Hollow.

Silvermist (Isabel was Silvermist for Halloween last year)
Clara’s favorite ride was probably King Triton’s Carousel at California Adenture. I went on it with her like 5 times in a row. There was no line so we just stayed. Of course she HAD to sit on a different fish character each time and there was never any doubt which one she wanted to sit on. We only got a picture of the other carousel though...she liked it too!
Isabel’s favorite ride was “It’s a Small World”. She loved seeing all the dolls dressed up in their different clothes. Since it was Christmas time they also sang “Jingle Bells”, making it a little more tolerable ;)
A little train ride
Fun flying on Dumbo
How dizzy can we get on the tea cups?
Rocking on Mickey's Ferris Wheel
Anybody home???
Our last day we jumped between parks making sure to catch things we missed or things we wanted to do again. We ended up eating dinner at a really nice and expensive restaurant—Ariel’s Grotto. We just wanted to eat somewhere quiet. The food was excellent, the best we’d had the whole trip. We decided despite the $$$ it was totally worth eating there.
Friday we went to SeaWorld. I couldn’t believe how quiet it was there. At one point we were the only ones at the stingray exhibit. We each got the chance to feed and pet a dolphin. Isabel was hesitant at first, but finally was able pet one. Clara was content to just throw the fish in its mouth.
We watched a pet show, which was very entertaining. Afterwards we got to pet a kangaroo! Who’s ever heard of petting a kangaroo before? We were surprised at how soft it was. Isabel still talks about how neat it was to pet a kangaroo.
We can’t wait until we can go again!!!
